About Rex Charlton

Rex Charlton was an English theatre director and playwright, born in 1922 and died in 1996. He is perhaps best known for his work in the theatre, particularly his plays that were produced in London’s West End and throughout the United Kingdom.

Charlton began his career as an actor, but he soon turned to writing and directing plays. He wrote over thirty plays, many of which were produced on the London stage. Some of his most successful plays include “The Reunion,” “The Jockey Club Stakes,” and “The Final Test.”
