Specialty Theatre designed and installed curtain track suspensions for North Melbourne Primary School to allow simple operation of the acoustic curtains on heavy-duty, extruded aluminium stage curtain tracks, dividing the stage area from the space hosting the school’s aftercare program, while following the challenging contours of the existing building.

The outcome resulted in easy conversion of the full stage area to the smaller space when required. Some benefits include:

  1. Smooth and effortless operation: Curtain track suspension systems are designed to provide a smooth and effortless operation, allowing you to easily open and close your curtains without any hassle.

  2. Flexibility: Curtain tracks come in various sizes and shapes, which makes them ideal for a wide range of window shapes and sizes. This provides a high level of flexibility in terms of where and how you can hang your curtains.

  3. Durability: Most curtain tracks are made from durable materials such as aluminium, making them strong and long-lasting. They are less likely to bend or break under the weight of heavy curtains.

  4. Aesthetically pleasing: Curtain tracks are discreet and can be hidden behind a pelmet or valance. This can help to create a more streamlined and modern look, without the need for bulky curtain rods or poles.

  5. Easy installation: Curtain tracks are relatively easy to install, and can be done with basic tools. They are often mounted directly to the ceiling or wall, which means that you don’t need to worry about drilling into window frames or other parts of your home.
